New Delhi/Bengaluru, July 19 -- Over 90 schools and colleges in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai on Friday morning received bomb threats triggering panic among the students and their parents, which turned out to be a hoax. The maximum number of bomb threat calls were received in about 50 schools in Bengaluru.

In Delhi, nearly 45 schools and three top colleges including- Indraprastha (IP) College for Women, Hindu College and Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) received such threats. With Friday's bomb threats, about 100 schools across India have so far received threatening messages. Of these, as many as 60 schools are in Delhi. This is the fourth such day this week when schools in the national capital became a target of bomb threats.
