India, Dec. 27 -- The Supreme Court has invoked its extraordinary powers under Article 142 of the Constitution to issue a series of steps to ensure the completion of the stalled Supernova real estate project in Noida, developed by Supertech Realtors Pvt Ltd, had been facing insolvency proceedings.

"This is a fit case for this Court to exercise its powers under Article 142 of the Constitution of India," the Bench recorded, adding that the prevailing circumstances warranted a solution beyond the conventional insolvency framework," said the Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi.
