Bhopal, July 5 -- Madhya Pradesh finds itself embroiled in a complex legal and social dispute. The controversy centers on the implementation of a 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Government jobs.
Despite a State law enacted in 2019 to grant this increased quota, its actual application remains stalled, trapping the hopes of countless job aspirants in a bureaucratic and judicial quagmire.
The matter is at present with the Supreme Court (SC). During a crucial hearing on Friday, the court dashed hopes for immediate relief, opting not to grant a swift green light for the 27 per cent quota.
