MANDLA, Jan. 28 -- Saurabh Sharma, a former constable of Madhya Pradesh's transport department, is expected to surrender in the Lokayukta court of Bhopal District Court in connection with a case involving illegal property worth crores.
Sharma, who had been absconding since a raid uncovered his alleged involvement in amassing disproportionate assets, applied to surrender through his lawyer on Monday, January 27.
DSP Virendra Singh, the investigating officer in the case, was present in the court to oversee the proceedings.
Sharma's case has sparked political controversy, particularly regarding his appointment on compassionate grounds following his father's death.
