BHOPAL, Feb. 12 -- The court granted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody of former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, along with his associates Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal, until February 17.

The ED is investigating their involvement in the discovery of 52 kg of gold, Rs 11 crore in cash, and other assets worth crores, found in a vehicle in the Mendori jungle. During the hearing, Sharma's lawyer, Rakesh Parashar, and his mother Uma Sharma, along with Jaiswal's niece, attended the court proceedings.

The ED had filed a petition in the court of 18th Additional District Judge Sachin Kumar Ghosh on Monday, requesting a seven-day remand for the accused.
