Lucknow, March 19 -- Launched in 2017 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana has become a lifeline for economically weaker families, ensuring their daughters a dignified and secure start to married life, officials said.

Over the past eight years, the scheme has facilitated the weddings of 476,207 underprivileged girls, relieving thousands of struggling families, officials said.

Implemented by the Social Welfare department, the initiative extends support to families with an annual income of up to Rs 2 lakh, enabling them to marry their daughters with dignity.
