Moradabad/Lucknow, May 16 -- The Samajwadi Party (SP) has sparked a fresh political row by giving a caste and community-based spin to Operation Sindoor, a recent military campaign led by the Indian Armed Forces. Senior SP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, while addressing a public meeting in Moradabad on Thursday, claimed that the success of the operation was due to the "PDA" - a political term popularised by SP referring to Pichhde, Dalit and Alpashankhyak (Backward castes, Dalits and Minorities).
Yadav controversially named key personnel involved in the operation and linked them to their caste and religion.
