BOKARO, June 20 -- In a significant stride towards self-reliance in the defence sector, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking and India's largest steelmaker, has supplied the entire requirement of special steel for the Indian Navy's newly commissioned vessel, INS Arnala. This Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) is India's first indigenously designed and built ship of its kind and was formally inducted into naval service on June 18.
