Bhopal, April 18 -- A new cath lab system will soon allow kidney patients at Hamidia Hospital to undergo heart tests with minimal risk, thanks to reduced dye use and 3D imaging.
The soon-to-arrive Bi-Plane Cath Lab System will be the first of its kind in the state. Imported from Japan at a price of Rs 7.7 crore, the system uses minimal dye and offers 3D imaging for more accurate cardiovascular assessment.
This cutting-edge technology is particularly helpful for kidney patients. Traditional heart tests used more dye, increasing the risk of complications in those with already weak kidneys.
