Chandigarh, June 13 -- The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) will hold three meetings in Haryana at Sirsa, Ambala and Kurukshetra in June to further strengthen the party base and gear up for the forthcoming assembly elections.

The party's Haryana Incharge Balwinder Singh Bhundur said the meeting in Sirsa would be held on June 23, that at Ambala on June 25 and Kurukshetra on June 30.

Bhundur said the SAD had stepped up activity in Haryana in the run up to the parliamentary elections by holding massive public rallies which were addressed by party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

He said these rallies had set the tone for the poll results in Haryana in the Lok Sabha elections in which the SAD whole heartedly supported the BJP.
