SUNDARGARH, Sept. 2 -- A youth of Sundargarh district is now a known snake catcher and has caught more than 1,500 snakes till now and even keeps some injured snakes in his living room and after providing treatment to them, he leaves them in forest.
Animesh Sarangi (24) resides with his parents at Bargaon in Sundargarh district. Animesh works in Wildlife protection squad on contractual basis in Bargaon forest range. Animesh had a passion to catch snakes since his childhood. About six years ago, Animesh was assisting one Mahendra Naik to catch snakes and later Animesh turned himself to be a snake catcher. He is now a well known snake catcher at Kutra, Bargaon, Rajgangpur and Bamra area.
