NEW DELHI, July 12 -- Delhi Congress president Chaudhary Anil Kumar handed over a draft for Rs 5.10 lakh to the wife of a journalist who allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) trauma centre recently.
Chaudhary said that the money was collected from the Congress workers in Delhi under the "Aao Madad Ka Haath Badhayen" (Congress cares) campaign.
The Congress president also demanded the Delhi Government to treat journalists who died of Coronavirus as Corona warriors. "Tarun Sisodia was also on the line of duty in the fight against Corona as a press reporter and his family should be given compensation like other corona warriors who lost their lives to the pandemic.
