New Delhi, March 26 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said her government has allocated a historic Rs 9,000 Crore for providing clean water and sanitation to Delhi's three crore population.
The budget provides for building 40 Decentralised Sewage Treatment Plants at a cost of Rs 500 Crore for cleaning Yamuna so that sewage water is treated at the source itself.
Moreover, GPS system will be installed in water tankers and the government will develop an Android mobile app "DJB Tanker" through which citizens will be able to monitor and track the tankers coming to their area.
The budget provides for Rs 10 Crore for consultancy services for water sector projects. Rs 150 Crore will be invested in automation, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition...
