BHUBANESWAR, Nov. 14 -- Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari presented a Supplementary Budget of Rs 8,126.32 crore for the current year, 2019-20, in the State Assembly on Wednesday.

"The Supplementary Budget is aimed at fulfilling the requirement of funds for public welfare and development activities," Pujari told a Press meet soon after placing the Supplementary Budget.

The components of expenditure include provision of Rs 267.23 crore, progamme expenditure of Rs 7,432.80 crore (more than 92 per cent of the Supplementary Budget), Disaster Response Funds of Rs 6.52 crore and Transfer from State of Rs 419.78 crore.
