Ujjain, Jan. 31 -- Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's vision to enhance connectivity and ease access for saints, seers, and devotees is taking shape in the form of the Ujjain-Indore six-lane road project, aimed at supporting the Simhastha Mahakumbh in 2028.

President Droupadi Murmu laid the foundation for the project on September 19, 2024. After completing the preliminary formalities, construction began on January 15. The road will extend from Indore's Aurobindo Medical College to the Hari Phatak Square in Ujjain, transforming the existing four-lane road into a six-lane highway with a paved shoulder under the hybrid annuity mode.
