India, Feb. 2 -- The Union Budget for 2026-27 has allocated Rs 12,503.65 crore to the Delhi Police, marking an increase of 4.79 per cent over the revised estimate of the previous financial year.
The enhanced allocation is aimed at meeting routine operational expenses and funding key modernisation initiatives, including traffic management reforms and strengthening communication networks across the National Capital Region (NCR).
In the current financial year 2025-26, the Delhi Police had been allocated Rs 11,931.66 crore. The increase of nearly Rs 572 crore in the upcoming fiscal year reflects continued emphasis on law and order, policing infrastructure, and technology-driven governance in the national Capital.
