Jamshedpur, April 23 -- Notorious criminal Akhilesh Singh has been acquitted by the court due to a lack of evidence in the firing incident on former judge RP Ravi in the Sakchi police station area.
The decision was rendered by the court of ADJ 4, Anand Mani Tripathi. However, a separate case against the accused Manoranjan Singh Lallu, Bunty Jaiswal, and Ritesh Rai is still ongoing.
The incident, which occurred on March 20, 2008, saw RP Ravi being shot by unidentified assailants while he was near the Excise Department office in the Sakchi police station area.
