Bhopal, March 10 -- As temperatures soar after Holi, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) roadside water stands (pyau) are set to provide relief to passersby. However, concerns about their maintenance and effectiveness persist.
Udit Garg, In-charge Superintendending Engineer of the Water Works Department at BMC, informs that the city has 200 pyau, all maintained by the civic body. These stalls are filled with pre-filtered water from municipal sources and are checked daily for cleanliness and quality.
He says that inspections will be conducted for any pyaus found to have fallen into disrepair before the onset of summer in the state capital.
