India, Jan. 27 -- On the occasion of Republic Day, at a programme organised by Sanskar Seva Samiti in the national capital, Dr Jyoti Garg, Head of the Department of Neurology at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, made people aware of their fundamental duties towards the nation.

After the unfurl of the tricolour, she addressed the gathering and described the increasing use of polythene and plastic as a serious threat. She said that it not only harms the environment but also adversely affects the health of both animals and humans.

Local dignitaries Gopal Pandit, TR Gautam, Babita and others also shared information about the harmful effects of plastic. Local residents and social workers participated enthusiastically in the event.
