Ranchi, Jan. 31 -- The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) released on January 28, states that in Jharkhand there has been a significant increase in the percentage of children of Class V who can now solve a division problem. This figure has been recorded at 30.3% in 2024 while it was earlier at 19% in the year 2018 and 24.5% in 2022.
At the national level too there has been an improvement in the same. While in 2018, it stood at 24.9%, it had dropped to 25.6% in 2022 but has now increased to 30.7% in 2024. The change has been seen mainly in government schools.
The data further reveals that the performance of students in basic mathematics has also improved in Jharkhand from 44.4% in 2018 to 45.3% in 2022 and 50.9% in 2024. However, thi...
