Prayagraj, March 2 -- During the grand Maha Kumbh 2025, the special ration scheme launched by the government for saints, mahatmas, kalpvasis and devotees proved highly effective. So far, over 2,000 metric tons of subsidised rations have been distributed and scheme has been extended till March.

The Uttar Pradesh government successfully implemented Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Sahkarita se Samriddhi' (prosperity through cooperation) during Maha Kumbh, enabling the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) to supply 1,400 metric tons of flour and rice and 600 metric tons of pulses at affordable prices.
