Chandigarh, Feb. 19 -- Signaling a fresh approach to Punjab's battle against corruption, 1995-batch IPS officer G Nageswara Rao on Tuesday took over as the new Chief Director of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) at Vigilance Bhawan, SAS Nagar - a day after his appointment. Known for his resolute stance on accountability, Rao wasted no time in outlining his vision for the Bureau, immediately convening a high-level meeting with all the Bureau's Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to assess the state of ongoing investigations.
