India, Sept. 15 -- In an effort to further speed up revenue procurements for the armed forces and cater to their emerging requirements in the era of modern warfare, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the Defence Procurement Manual (DPM) 2025, defence ministry said here on Sunday.

Giving details, it said the Manual will further streamline, simplify, enable and rationalise the revenue procurement process in the Ministry of Defence.

The new manual is aimed at achieving self-reliance in fulfilling the needs of the Armed Forces under Revenue Head (Operations and Sustenance Segment). It will foster jointness among the three Services and help in maintaining the highest level of military preparedness through expeditious decision making. ...
