New Delhi, May 18 -- An official delegation of the Government of India comprising Harivansh, Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha and Yanthungo Patton, Deputy Chief Minister, Nagaland will visit Vatican City to attend the Solemn Ceremony marking the inauguration of the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, scheduled for 18 May 2025.
The participation of the Indian delegation in this important global ecclesiastical event reflects India's deep commitment to interfaith engagement, mutual respect among communities and diplomatic engagement with the Holy See.
