Jammu, May 12 -- Bravehearts who laid down their lives in the line of duty, and Additional Deputy Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thappa, killed during heavy shelling by Pakistan, were cremated with full state honours in different parts of Jammu on Sunday.

A 25-year-old Rifleman Sunil Kumar, resident of Treva village of Arnia in the RS Pura sector, was accorded a tearful adieu with hundreds of mourners joining the funeral procession en route to Purmandal, where his last rites were performed.

Earlier, his mortal remains, wrapped in a tricolour, were brought in a decorated army vehicle to the village amid chants in praise of his sacrifice and the nation.
