Bhopal, June 15 -- The southwest monsoon is expected to arrive in Madhya Pradesh within the next couple of days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicating that it will likely enter through the southeastern districts of the state. Weather officials have suggested that the monsoon may cover the entire region within five to six days of its onset. This year, the monsoon is expected to bring widespread and substantial rainfall across Madhya Pradesh, providing much-needed relief from the intense heatwave gripping several parts of the state. Notably, the monsoon had arrived on June 21 last year, but this year it may reach a few days earlier.
