DEHRADUN, April 22 -- With the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and the alleged threat issued recently purportedly by the Pakistan based

terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) to blow up several railway stations in the state the security has been tightened by the authorities at railway stations.

However, the absence of metal detectors in Dehradun railway station appears to be a lapse in the security. Station Superintendent Sitaram Sonkar said, "It has been more than one and half year since the metal detectors have stopped functioning here.
