New Delhi, June 30 -- After experimenting success of 24-hours advanced railway reservation charting system in one of its division, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given the go ahead for implementation of eight hours advanced rail reservation charting in a phase wise across the Indian railways network.
Presently the decades old practice is four hours advanced reservation charting and the railways rolled out the 24 hours prototype in its Bikaner Division. Following the feedback from passengers as well as zonal officials, the Railway Board will now take it to pan India as improved advanced charting will help travellers secure certainties of travel plan.
