New Delhi, June 22 -- In a heartfelt gesture of support, Northern Railways and the State Bank of India (SBI) jointly disbursed a sum of '1 crore to the family of a deceased loco pilot from the Moradabad Division. The amount was released as part of a Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) claim under SBI's Railway Salary Package.
The loco pilot, who was an account holder under the SBI Railway Salary Package-Diamond variant, was eligible for insurance coverage provided through this special salary scheme for railway employees. After his unfortunate passing, SBI and Northern Railways coordinated closely to ensure the insurance claim process was completed smoothly and quickly.
