NEW DELHI, Sept. 4 -- The much-awaited Wi-Fi scheme of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government will soon be a reality as the Public Works Department (PWD) - the implementing agency has got the financial approval for providing free Wi-Fi, one of AAP's main poll promises. The Wi-Fi will be provided at big public parks, Mohalla clinics and bus stops. An amount of Rs 99,50, 38, 560 have been sanctioned for the project. The free Wi-Fi services will be provided at 100 hotspots in each assembly constituencies. Further, it will cover about 4000 bus stops.

As per the officials, the PWD will adopt rental model of Wi-Fi scheme for providing free internet to the public and a fixed amount will be paid per hotspot every month.
