Chandigarh, April 30 -- Stepping up its fight against the drug menace, Punjab Government is all set to launch a state-wide grassroots anti-drug initiative - Nasha Mukti Yatra - to cover every village and ward in the state through May and June 2025. The campaign is aimed at transforming the war against drugs into a people-led movement, empowering communities to take collective responsibility and action.

Under this, district-level preparatory meetings will be held across Punjab from May 2 to 4, where Village Defence Committees (VDCs) and Ward Defence Committees (WDCs) will be briefed and mobilized.
