Chandigarh, April 17 -- Despite encouraging strides in policing and legal aid, the latest 'India Justice Report (IJR)-2025' painted a picture of a justice system in Punjab that continues to grapple with fundamental structural deficiencies - especially in the judiciary and prison administration. Ranked ninth among 18 large and mid-sized states, Punjab shows selective progress while simultaneously sliding backwards in some of the most critical areas that impact access to justice.
