India, Feb. 21 -- In another major breakthrough, Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has arrested an associate of foreign-based terrorist Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike, further strengthening the state's crackdown on organized crime.

The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhchain Singh alias Bhujia, a resident of Matti village, Mansa. The Police has recovered a .32 caliber pistol along with five live cartridges from his possession.

Sukhchain was wanted in a recent attempt to murder case in Bhikhi and has multiple criminal cases registered against him under the Arms Act and NDPS Act. Preliminary investigations suggested that he was planning to target rival gang members under directions from his handlers.
