Chandigarh/Jalandhar, March 8 -- In a major breakthrough, the Counter Intelligence (CI) wing of Punjab Police, Jalandhar, has foiled a target killing plot with the arrest of three operatives of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module. The state Director-General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Friday revealed that the arrested individuals have been identified as Jagroop Singh, resident of Naushehra Kalan, Amritsar; Sukhjit Singh, resident of Mirzapur, Kapurthala; and Navpreet Singh alias Nav, resident of Fatehabad, Tarn Taran.

During the operation, police teams seized four firearms, including two sophisticated pistols - a.30 bore PX5 Storm (Beretta) and a 9mm Glock - along with two country-made pistols (.30 bore and .32 b...
