Chandigarh/Amritsar, May 1 -- Punjab Police on Wednesday claimed to thwart a potential grenade attack on police establishments by arresting five members of a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module being operated by foreign-based gangster Jiwan Fauji. The arrests were made during a swift operation carried out by the Amritsar Commissionerate Police, as part of the state's ongoing crackdown on terror activities to ensure public safety.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the arrested individuals were part of a terror module backed by Pakistan's ISI and managed remotely by Jiwan Fauji from abroad.
