Chandigarh/Amritsar, Feb. 21 -- In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, Punjab Police has arrested another drug smuggler and recovered three kg of heroin from his possession, taking the total recovery in this case to 13 kgs. Confirming the development, the state Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Thursday reinforced the state's commitment to eliminate drug networks.
The arrested accused has been identified as Lovepreet Singh - a resident of Main Bazar, Attari, Amritsar. His arrest comes just a day after police apprehended Harmandeep Singh from Ghumanpura village in Amritsar, who was caught with 10 kg of heroin.
