Chandigarh, May 16 -- Breaking new ground in the fight against stubble burning while propelling industrial growth, the Punjab Government launched a pioneering Capital Subsidy Scheme to promote the installation of paddy straw-based industrial boilers. The scheme, rolled out under the revised Industrial and Business Development Policy-2022, is expected to serve as a dual solution - tackling environmental pollution caused by paddy residue and reducing the industry's reliance on fossil fuels.
