Chandigarh, May 13 -- / In a major step toward transforming rural infrastructure, the Punjab Government has launched an ambitious project to construct 18,900 kilometers of rural link roads - marking a new era of transparent, corruption-free development. Announcing the project, the state's Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Monday said that the first phase is already underway, with tenders floated for 828 kilometers of rural roads in Barnala, Faridkot, Pathankot, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar districts.
