India, April 29 -- Moving towards simplifying and streamlining the process of obtaining driving licenses, Punjab Government has introduced a slew of reforms aimed at improving public services at driving test centers across the state, including deploying two additional staff members at each of the 32 driving test tracks across the state to assist applicants, and rolling out an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology to automate and improve the performance of all driving test tracks.
Announcing these, the state Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar on Sunday also urged the people to avoid agents and opt for the online application process to eliminate intermediaries and reduce the chances of fraud.
