Chandigarh/Ludhiana, April 29 -- In a significant move to boost agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship in Punjab, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Monday announced a Rs 40 crore capital grant for Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, for the financial year 2025-26. This follows the state government's previous Rs 20 crore allocation for 2024-25 to enhance PAU's agricultural research and academic infrastructure.
The announcement came during the inauguration of PAU's new 'Agro Processing Complex', which is equipped with machinery worth Rs 46 lakh.
