Chandigarh, June 21 -- To safeguard children from harmful digital influences, the Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (PSCPCR) has written to the state Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Cybercrime, urging strict action against objectionable and vulgar content circulating on social media platforms.

Raising alarm over the proliferation of indecent and disturbing videos on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, PSCPCR chairman Kanwardeep Singh called for immediate measures to curtail the spread of such content that adversely impacts children and glorifies drugs, gun culture, and abusive behavior.
