Chandigarh, June 3 -- Punjab Cabinet on Monday approved a new Land Pooling Policy, pitched by the government as a transformative step toward planned urban development and farmer empowerment. The policy, approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at his official residence, seeks to revolutionize land utilization in the state's urban expansion while addressing the exploitation of farmers by private developers and land mafias.
