DALTONGANJ, Feb. 23 -- Palamu tiger reserve, refusing re-employment of its retired rangers, went on to further load its existing rangers in PTR to have additional ranges here.

Sources said it's an intelligent move as re-employment of retired rangers here would have meant a kind of return of apathy.

The state forest, environment and climate change department has made a 'fire fighting' measure to fill up the posts of rangers in the Palamu tiger reserve.

At its meeting held on February 19, the principal chief conservator of forest issued an office order empowering 8 rangers with additional charge of other ranges too in districts like Palamu, Ranchi, Dhanbad and Hazaribag.
