Garhwa, April 17 -- A six-day-old baby died in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) at Sadar Hospital on Monday. The baby's family protested, and the police had to step in. Officials went to Garhwa Sadar Hospital to calm the family down.
Zahid Khan, from Tildag village, took his wife, Baby Khatoon, to the hospital on 9 April at 11:00 AM for the birth. She had a baby girl at 12:26 PM that day.
The baby was said to be weak. Allegedly, nurses Soni Kumari and Vijay Ram asked the family for Rs.5,000 while they were working. The family supposedly paid Rs.3,000, which made the nurses angry.
