Bhopal, June 30 -- A shocking case of extortion has emerged from the Ashoka Garden area where a property dealer received a threatening call demanding Rs 25 lakh. Acting promptly on the victim's complaint, the police registered an FIR and initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of the accused.
According to Town Inspector Anurag Lal, the complainant, Mohammad Mateen, a resident of Mayur Vihar Colony, has been active in the property business for several years. Before entering the real estate sector, Mateen had partnered with the accused, Mohammad Faiz, in the auto dealing business.
