Bhopal, March 19 -- The Bhopal district treasury on Tuesday initiated the process of depositing missing contributions for subscribers of the National Pension System (NPS). All drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) and subscribers under the district treasury have been informed about this development.
The contributory pension system (NPS) applies to all government employees appointed on or after January 1, 2005. Under this scheme, 10 per cent of an employee's salary is deducted as their contribution, while the government contributes an equal amount, which was increased to 14 per cent from April 1, 2021.
