Bhopal, May 31 -- Indore takes a giant leap in urban mobility today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the city's much-awaited metro rail, built on a smart, eco-conscious vision.
The Indore Metro project was approved by the state government in December 2016 and received central cabinet clearance in October 2018. Construction began in February 2019, with the foundation stone laid in September that year.
The entire Yellow Line will stretch 33.53 km with 29 stations and is expected to be fully operational by 2027. The initial section, now ready, spans 5.9 km along the Super Corridor from Gandhi Nagar to Super Corridor-3.
