Lucknow/Azamgarh, June 21 -- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday accused past Uttar Pradesh Governments of "joining hands with the D-Company" and "nurturing" fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim instead of focusing on development. He alleged that they compromised the State's security and turned Azamgarh into a "hub of terror". The fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his gang is referred to as D company.

Addressing a meeting on the occasion of the inauguration of the Gorakhpur Link Expressway in Azamgarh, Adityanath said, "They joined hands with the D-Company and Dawood's gang, compromising the State's security and turning Azamgarh into a hub of terror."
