Bhopal, June 19 -- Under the National Sickle Cell Eradication Mission-2047, a state-level programme will be held on June 19 at the sports stadium of Gram Panchayat Taloon in Barwani district to mark World Sickle Cell Day. Hon'ble President of India Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest at the event. Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, and several cabinet ministers will also be in attendance.
On this occasion, several important initiatives will be launched to combat sickle cell disease in Madhya Pradesh. These include the unveiling of a genetic counseling awareness video and the release of comprehensive guidelines and modules tailored for pregnant women affected by the disease. P...
