NEW DELHI, April 23 -- In a suspected case of hit and run, a 22-year-old pregnant woman died while her husband sustained injuries after the bike they were riding was hit from behind by a speeding car in North-west Delhi's Jahangirpuri area on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as, Sugandhi who was five months pregnant when she was mowed down by the speeding car.
According to Vijayanta Arya, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North west district, on Sunday evening a complainant was received from Jitender (24) a resident of Khichripur who reported that he along with his wife Sugandhi was travelling from Noida to Nangloi on bike when at about 5.30 pm, while crossing Mukandpur flyover, a white car hit them and ran away.
